My feeble attempt to chronicle the trials and tribulations of restoring my 1970 VW Westphalia camper bus.

Fiddly Bitts
All along I have been doing things like oiling hinges, pivot points, door latches, cleaning chrome parts, repairing little things I find like wires pulled off door ground switches, etc. Tedious, but progress goes fast with these little jobs and you can see tangible results quickly.
About this Project: I bought this bus in August 2009. It was located in a small town just outside of Kalamazoo MI. called Galesburg. It had been in storage there for several years. Prior to that it was in Wisconsin for a while, Minnesota for a while and it originally came up North from California.
About the Author: I have been an Engineer in the automotive industry for more than 30 years. Prior to that, I worked for several years in my dads body shop. I am a serial do-it-yourselfer. I will attempt almost any project just for the learning. I have restored several cars, owned several V-dub's, but never a bus. I have always wanted a bus, I don't know why, they just look like fun. I am looking forward to this crazy little adventure.
